Welcome to Prague,
What you should know: Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, no longer Czechoslovakia. The Czech Republic and Slovakia split more than 27 years ago. But enough history, let’s focus on the present.
There are over a million people living in Prague and the center boasts the largest concentration of restaurants and bars per square meter. The nightlife is very colourful and wild. If people go to sleep at all, then they do so with the first morning rays.
What you should definitely taste: Czechs are renowned chefs; they were the first of the former Communist bloc countries to receive the Michelin star. What typical Czech dishes do you have to experience? Definitely the roast sirloin in sour cream sauce with dumplings, or duck with cabbage. When it comes to beverages, the Czech Republic is of course famous for its beer. And did we mention that Prague is the Beer Capital of the World? For connoisseurs we recommend “Slivovice” plum brandy or typically Czech herbal liqueur “Becherovka” from the Karlovy Vary spa town.
What you should not miss out on: The center of Prague hides plenty of obvious and hidden beauty. The Prague tourist alphabet consists of places such as Charles Bridge, Old Town Square or Prague Castle. A glass of wine or beer is best enjoyed on the banks of the Vltava River on the so-called “Náplavka”. However, what is a feast for the eyes, especially for men, are Czech women and girls. Czech women are often referred to as the most beautiful representatives of the gentle sex on earth. Is this true? We will leave it up to you.
Some random facts about Prague that you (do not) need to know: Wenceslas Square in the center of Prague could hold up to 15 standard football fields.
